Health is wealth. Four fitness centres in KL you shouldn't miss!

Shed that extra pound you gained during CNY!

Chinese New Year is officially over and so does our eat-everything-you-want license. Food plays a big part in every festival and celebration; it’s in our blood and we, Malaysians, fully embrace it. Albeit that, we are still strong advocates of health and fitness. So, if you have been going crazy on food for the past month and would like to shed that few extra pounds that you’ve gained, I have rounded a few interesting not-your-typical-run-of-the-mill fitness centres that you can consider.

If you’re interested to take on Pilates, Pilatique Pilates & Physiotherapy Studio Malaysia is a good place to start. They offer various types of classes according to your strength and capability, incorporating their signature equipment into the workouts such the Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Stability Chair, and Spine Corrector, conducted and guided by certified instructors.

As their name suggests, the classes involve high-intensity training so be prepared to sweat it off! I highly recommend, especially the females, to take up some classes here. 4. Fitology Fitness Centre

Among the fitness centres listed here, Fitology Fitness Centre is my personal favourite. It combines exercise, detoxifying, sports therapy, and nourishment all under one roof. The concept is to get you closer to achieve your fitness goals by combining components of healthy living and exercising in one session. Within an hour, you will be getting 2 Fitology sessions; 30-minutes of full-body training with your trainer and 30-minutes of Far Infrared Therapy Sauna (Fir) which will help you burn off those unwanted calories. By keeping the exercise short yet effective, it will minimise the muscular injuries, and yet still achieve results.

Location: 9, Jalan Riong, Off Jalan Maarof, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur.

I hope you like the recommendations and I strongly believe that we should keep our workout routine fresh and exciting. Happy Exercising!
